Timeline

This is a very rough timeline and will be added to as dates arise (or are remembered!)

Pre-back injury: Before the back injury, I was seeing a physiotherapist for a torn and strained abdominal muscle (right side, just below the ribcage).

1 October 2007: Original injury to upper back (T5/6) as a result of moving boxes.

2 October 2007: Began physio for upper back/chest injury. Tried various exercises, stretches, massage and, unsuccessfully, binding.

7 March 2008: CT scan for upper back/chest. T5/6 to T11/12.

17 June 2009: appointment with rheumatologist

18 June 2008: referred to Rapid Access Spine Clinic.

2 September 2008: Appt at RASC. Heat, massage therapy and physiotherapy suggested and begun.

14 June 2009: Bone Density Scan

2 February 2010: MRI – upper back

15 December 2010: Emergency visit – acute slipped disc (L5)

16 December 2010: Emergency visit – yucky reaction to hydromorphone – make sure to take with gravol from now on!

4 January 2011: Appt with Dr. ***** re: the slipped disc

17 January 2011: 4:20 – CT Scan for lower back injury

25 January 2011: stopped taking hydromorphone (at least on a regular basis)

3 February 2011: 9:30 appt with spine doc about CT scan results. L5 injury is healing, some protrusion, some degeneration. News about further delay for possible injection for upper spine.

7 February 2011: Began using topical Lidocaine 5% for back pain

28 February 2011: First day of “Product X”

6 March 2011: Last day of “Product X”

7 April 2011: Meeting with gynecology specialist to discuss the upcoming surgery, get blood taken, sign a bunch of forms, and arrange a date. (May 5th)

13 April 2011: family doc prescribes ketorolac for my hand/wrist injury. Also, x-rays taken of the right hand/wrist.

15 April 2011: yearly physical, more bloodwork

28 April 2011: X-Ray results for hand/wrist (1pm)

29 April 2011: Pre-Admission Clinic, more blood tests

5 May 2011: Surgery – successful

17 May 2011: Pathology report from 5th May surgery – cancerous, but all successfully excised. Complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia, along with cervical hyperplasia previously noted. Endometrial cancer, stage 1.

10 June 2011: Bone scan for my wrist/hand.

16 June 2011: Follow up with gynecological oncology

17 June 2011: 6 weeks recovery time over

22 June 2011: Follow up for bone scan (wrist/hand). No pathology, some inflammation, detected.

3 August 2011: 6 week follow up re: wrist/hand. MRI Floroscopy/CT request sent in. Call back to spinal doc.

11 August 2011: 2:00 -  Floroscopy/CT for wrist/hand

17 August 2011: Should hear back about MRI Floroscopy/CT. If not, call doc.

14 September 2011: Should have had MRI Floroscopy/CT. If not, call doc.

26 August 2011: see doc for Fluor/ct results

21 September 2011: follow up re: cancer. Also, follow up re: MRI Floroscopy/CT results.

11 January 2012: Thoracic injection – 7:45 am

26 January 2012: Appt with rheumatologist. Begin Prednisone for 5 days.

6 March 2012: Appt with spine doc. Bloodwork done for lupus.

21 March 2012: CT scan – upper abdominal issue, no results given

18 April 2012: Rheum. appt, follow up on plaquenil
